Humphreys Street Venue Debut
Hello springtime friends!
Lindsy and I are so eager to share with you all the details of a recent styled shoot and Venue Debut Party we styled and coordinated. The theme was “Wild Harvest” and it was so fresh!
After seeing some photo’s from our winter styled shoots [see shoots here & here], Brian Hicks, The Owner and Founder of Harvest Hands - a non-profit organization in Nashville, TN., approached us about working together to show off one of their beautiful venues, Humphrey’s Street Coffee, to the Nashville Event Industry.
They wanted Nashville to see the potential of their beautiful location, and we are always down to partner with our professional friendors, so we decided to both display and convey all the beautiful elements by throwing a styled shoot & debut party for the event industry.
Humphrey’s Street - the building exudes an old schoolhouse charm. As a historically restored church, the walls fill guests with peace and purpose as they inhabit the cafe for work, community or solace.
The brightness of the walls and clean decor are refreshing. The space is open and easily malleable to create the perfect flow for any event. We staged a Ceremony, Reception (Kings table) and rehearsal dinner space, ALL WITHIN THEIR PROPERTY!
We originally wished to host a makers or farmers market on their property. Upon deciding to focus on the wedding venue market, I could not keep the vision of a heaping, bountiful display of fruits, veggies and wildflowers out of my mind. The theme “Wild Harvest” stuck and it turned into an ode to the parent company’s name of Harvest Hands.
So, with fresh springtime fruit colors, wild and full greenery we partnered with…
Venue: Humphreys Street
Photographer: CK Dirks Photo
Rentals: Music City Tents and Events
Lighting: Nashville Event Lighting
Food: Clean Plate Club
Our vendor team really showed up and the labor resulted in such a beautiful event. Each partner went far beyond our expectations.
As with most of my event decor designs, I try to incorporate elements that my couples can incorporate into their everyday married life. The terra-cotta salad plate concept is not a foreign design, but I have not seen it really blossom in Nashville…yet. I hope some of our spring 2020 couples really “dig” this garden theme & reuse terra-cotta head table salad plates for their herb garden pots.
At Music City Events, our goal is to edify the people who work with us. From wedding to corporate, we understand that we are all humans who have a need to execute an amazing event.
