A Note From Sarah Willard (Founder)

I always knew this day would come; in fact, I’ve been planning for it since I opened the company in 2007. It is with a sense of bewilderment and pride that I reflect on the last decade. I’m honored to have been an intricate part of over 300 couples’ wedding day. I poured myself into Music City Events and watched it grow from one planner to four planners with a host of part time assistants. I have had the opportunity to train and mentor nearly two dozen interns, establish a well-respected name in the industry, and discover my own passion for communication and process efficiency. I have found a deep love for impacting my community through volunteering and fundraising and am humbled by the awards and recognition from my peers and Nashville’s leaders. I even met my closest friends through my work. Truly, what more can an entrepreneur ask for from her first company?

I give my deepest thanks to all our couples for choosing Music City Events and to George Willard Sr., my father, for supporting and encouraging me from minute one. To every venue, caterer, rental and decor company, florist, photographer, dress and suit shop, bakery, musician, and DJ: thank you for spending your evenings with me to give couples the time of their life.

Lindsy and Heather have been an integral and successful part of Music City Events for the last several years. Due to this demonstrated success, I am confidant that they will continue to build upon the brand that Nashville has come to recognize. With peace and confidence, I hand the reigns over to these two very capable, talented, and highly motivated women.

Lindsy and Heather, I cannot wait to see what you do with Music City Events. Congratulations on your new ownership, take care of my baby, and continue to sweep Nashville couples off their feet!

With all my love,

Sarah
