Real Wedding courtesy of Weddings Unveiled!

I love Weddings Unveiled. Their blog is a great source for online vendors (can you say custome Birdcage Veil?!) and inspirational weddings. When I saw Christine & Matt's I had to share. Their use of color and whimsy is fantastic and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the bridesmaids and flower girls' dresses. :)

Enjoy!

Real Wedding ~ Christine and Matt

When we saw Christine and Matt's bright and cheery DIY wedding from Lauren Kinsey Photographywe couldn't wait to share it! You may remember this sweet couple's engagement session we posted a few months ago that was full of colorful details and a unique prop in the form of the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo. Their wedding day was everything you would expect from this exuberant couple and more. Designed in a colorful and vibrant palette of sunkist orange, golden yellow, moss green, white and shades of pink ranging from a soft pale hue to deep fuchsia there were an abundance of amazing DIY details. Christine looked lovely in her Anne Barge ballgown with fitted corset and beaded detailing. She accessorized with a chunky pearl necklace and polka dot peep toe pumps in fuchsia. Her bridesmaids wore pretty floral print dresses in pinks and oranges from J.Crew and carried sunkist orange parasols in lieu of bouquets. A parade of little fairies wearing pink tutus with hot pink flower blossoms and wings led the way down the aisle followed by Christine with her father carrying a beautiful bouquet of white peonies, cherry brandy roses and pink sweet peas. Christine and Matt exchanged vows in the gardens under a wrought iron arch adorned with greenery and white blooms with a small crystal chandelier hanging from the center.

The happy couple opted for even more color for their reception at the Mobile Botanical Gardens. The all white room provided the perfect blank canvas for all of Christine's fabulous DIY details. Long guest tables were draped in white linens with an embroidered gold scroll pattern paired with a fuchsia runner down the center of the tables. An eclectic mix of white vases and gold candlestick holders provided a variety of unique vessels for the centerpiece arrangements. A wall of pink fabric with white polka dots created a colorful backdrop behind the head table along with paper garland in the hot hues of the event. Paper pom poms decorated the entire room from the hot and pale pink ones strung along the ceiling with twinkle lights to the raspberry blue poms that sat at each guests place setting. Banners reading, "Love is Sweet" adorned the wall above the dessert bar filled with pink treats. A cupcake tower with pink frosted yellow and chocolate cupcakes sat in the center flanked on either side by other delicious desserts, including Twinkies and a small one tier cake with handmade topper of Christine and Matt. Don't miss any of the fabulous details packed into their DIY wedding, including the crystal chandeliers adorned with colorful blooms and all the sweet signage created by the bride.
