Beautiful Days!
Wow - how time flys! It's, apparently, been 3 weeks since my last blog. Yikes! With the busy wedding season rolling around and trying to move to a new apartment (who moves during the middle of wedding season?!) it's been a crazy few weeks.
So the Hippie wedding in Memphis was fabulous. The bride and groom and 85 of their friends enjoyed a gorgeous ceremony (after threats of rain!) on the rooftop overlooking the river. In true hippie fashion the bride wore a great black skirt with a tye-dyed shirt, fringed jacket, and peace sign earrings. The finale was a headpeice of white daisies to compliment her bouquet. The groom kept it simple with a white linen shirt and love beads. :)
After the simple ceremony (where they recessed to "I've Got You Babe!") everyone sauntered over to Alfreds - where the couple met - for the reception. The guests were greeted by Tom and Deb and were each given a peace sign necklace. A 12 peice orchestra greeted guests as they helped themselves to a true southern menu: fried chicken with all the fixin's! Instead of your traditional cake, they served blackberry and peach cobbler (the groom's fave) and - brownies!
Cheers to everyone, especially Tom and Deb who took such an important step in their lives and did it their way. Pictures coming soon!!
